Indiana Horse Rescue is the Equine Division of Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. a 501 (c)3 non profit organization dedicated to animal welfare! Indiana Horse Rescue is to date Indiana's largest equine rescue operation. We currently have six facilities that house and care for horses in need 24/7. We pride ourselves in providing quality care to those horses that are in search of a new permanent home. Indiana Horse Rescue frequently works with Animal Control and Law Enforcement officers on abuse and neglect cases where equine are in need of being impounded, rehabilitated, and re homed. We also accept horses from individuals that can no longer provide a home for their horse. Indiana Horse Rescue is an ALL breed horse rescue, we have no limits to the age, breed, gender, etc. of horses needing to come in.

Featured Horse
Just Betty @ IHR Southwest

Betty is a 12 year old Thoroughbred mare. She stands approximately 14.2hh and is just a beauty. This little mare has been trained and used for General English riding as well as Jumping at 3 ft. high. Betty knows how to lead, tie, trailer, clip, and pick up her feet. If you are looking for a nice show quality horse, Betty is it! Betty is not for beginners, she needs an intermediate to advanced rider that knows what they are doing in the saddle! Click here for more photos and information about this special little gal!

Special Needs Horse
Rocket @ IHR
Central

Rocket has come back to the rescue as his owner passed away. Due to his death, his wife has also donated their other to ponies to ensure they are cared for forever. As you can see, Rocket is in extremely poor condition. Jim loved Rocket and spent a lot of time with him, so we think he may be grieving. We are working very hard to get him back in good condition and letting him know he is loved. Click here to watch Rocket's progress!
