needed Saturday 1/3
We can't thank
the volunteers enough that came to
help unload the semi full of gates
and stuff from IHR SW It was a
rainy cold day but you did it in
record time. Thank you!!!
Now we need
some better weather to work with the
horses to get them adopted. We have
some really nice horses that just
need someone to work with them - and
we have some that are ready to go
- just need that forever home - are
you looking for your next horse?
IHR has a
waiting list of horses waiting to
come in-but no room and no funds to
take them in - we need adopters and
donations to care for more horses
than we currently have. This winter
is proving to be another hard winter
on everyone - please find it in your
heart to donate - even $5.00 adds up
for hay and electric for heated
We have been very busy moving
the horses from our previous Southwest Division to our
Central Facility. In case you missed it we are selling
the large farm in SW Indiana as it is too big for us to
run without Tony. The past year has been an eye opener
in learning everything that he did for the rescue and
trying to duplicate his efforts.
This is a very hard time for us
as we consolidate and try to still provide the love,
care and medical needs of the horses in our care.
Donations are always needed to continue their deworming,
farrier, vaccinations, and many different feeds. We are
counting on you our supporters to continue to support
the rescue as we still have the same number of horses to
care for - just all at one location now.
IHR Southwest is still moving
necessary equipment from Southwest to Frankfort IN and
can use any help you can provide. There are tractors
and file cabinets along with tools, round pens and misc
that needs transported to Frankfort. Any help you can
provide (truck trailer, manpower, fuel costs) is greatly
appreciated. We still have 3 mustangs to move as we
still have our wild mustang refuge which is now located
Don't forget your Year End

is the Equine Division of Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. a 501 (c)3 non
profit organization dedicated to animal welfare! Indiana Horse Rescue is to
date Indiana's largest equine rescue operation. We currently have several
facilities that house and care for horses in need 24/7. We pride ourselves
in providing quality care to those horses that are in search of a new
permanent home. Indiana Horse Rescue frequently works with Animal Control
and Law Enforcement officers on abuse and neglect cases where equine are in
need of being impounded, rehabilitated, and re homed. We also accept horses
from individuals that can no longer provide a home for their horse. Indiana
Horse Rescue is an ALL breed horse rescue, we have no limits to the age,
breed, gender, etc. of horses needing to come in. Indiana Horse Rescue is
state funded, we survive on the generosity of individual donors and
fundraising efforts. Please decide to help the horses and donate today!
To provide a caring, positive environment for those horses that have either been neglected, abused, abandoned, and/or are at risk of going to slaughter. We will place these horses in an environment that benefits both the horse and the adoptive family.

Video #1 (Short)
is a 1999 Arabian Gelding. This guy is such a cutie and super friendly! He
was trained and green broke years and years ago but after some refreshers he
would be a cute little riding pony for an older child or teen! This boy had
so much prospect and would make an excellent 4-H project!
Our Board has revised several of our
adoption policies! Please check back soon for form updates and updates to
our website! Thank you for your continued support and love for the horses!
