How To Help The Horses
There are several ways that you can help the horses!
- Adopt a Horse in Need - There are many horses within our adoption program that need to find a new, loving forever home.
- Become a Member - Your membership fees goes toward the care of our rescue horses!
- Buy Online through GiveBackAmerica.org and a percentage from your online purchases benefit the horses!
- Collect & Send Printer Cartridges, Toners, and Cell Phones - Send us your empty and used printer cartridges and toners as well as your old cell phones, each one you send raises money for our horses in need!

- Foster a Rescue Horse - Space at our rescue facilities is limited, foster a rescue horse, work with it and help it find a home!
- Hold a Fundraising Event - Funds are always important to keep the rescue running, hold an event to help raise money for our horses or sell our fundraising items!
- Join or Start a Club H.O.P.E. (Horses of Poor Environment) in your area and help the horses through fundraising activities!
- Make a Donation - Anything that you can donate whether it be items or a monetary donation, everything helps the horses.
- Purchase a shedrow barn, run-in shed or modular barn from Horizon Structures and our organization will earn a $25 donation.
- Search the Web - Use GoodSearch search engine and and select Animal Protection Coalition, Inc. as your charity to benefit! For every search you do, APC/IHR earns $0.01!
- Shop the Indiana Horse Rescue Gift Shop - Buy cool products and model IHR everywhere you go! These products make excellent gifts for any occasion!
- Sponsor a Horse - Sponsor the care of a horse while it is recovering at the rescue, visit your sponsor horse and spend some time with it.
- Spread the Word - Put links to our site on your site, pass out brochures, put up flyers, tell your friends about the rescue horses!
- Transport - Indiana Horse Rescue is looking for people willing to do emergency transport from their county and across the State of Indiana
- Volunteer Your Time - Grab your boots and your pitch fork and help out at one of our rescue facilities, there is always work that needs to be done to complete the daily tasks of caring for the horses.

Mission Statement
To provide a caring, positive environment for those horses that have either been neglected, abused, abandoned, and/or are at risk of going to slaughter. We will place these horses in an environment that benefits both the horse and the adoptive family.
