What a day!

We can not thank Micky &
Tiffany Insalaco from MT Acres along with
Jon & Heather Solomon & both their families for all the work they put in
for the Rescue Rendezvous! What a
fantastic event!
The Rescue Rendezvous was a
busy place to be! We watched Jerry Brignardello from True Love Natural
Horse Center do several horsemanship training sessions - using IHR Rescue
horses! It was fun to watch horses we knew be worked with and see them
respond so well. It was heartwarming to know that he True Love Natural
Horse Center will be boarding 2 rescue horses! Jack and Doc were adopted
by two wonderful ladies that are boarding and have been taking lessons from
Jerry Brignardello at True Love. Congratulations on your adoptions!
Dr. Barbara Truex a newly
Indiana licensed veterinarian attended and gave a seminar on what every horse
owner needs to know, first aid - when to or not to call the vet. Dr. Truex
is licensed in several states and we hope to see more of her here in Indiana.
It was fantastic to see
Savvy Sidekicks and their demonstration with horses. What a great group of horse
women!
Cast A Way Cats attended
with some of their great volunteers and they are some pretty fantastic
people! Their love for their animals and finding the right homes is above
and beyond the ordinary! Of course with the heat, they were not going to
take a risk of over heating their feline friends, so they had to stay home in
the air conditioning - hmmm I'm not sure who was smarter, the cats or the
people!
We also adopted out 4
additional horses - 2 from IHR South and a total of 4 from IHR Main! IHR
East was unable to attend due to a family emergency.
Thanks to everyone who
attended and we look forward to finding the right horse for many others that
were interested in adopting a rescue horse!
Even more thanks goes to our
equine volunteers Ashley, Jena, Jenn, Kelsey and Becky Shope (IHR South) for the
long 6 hour drive to be able to bring in some fantastic horses!
