Thank you to those of you that have stepped up so quickly to donate and to give these horses the one on one attention they need!  We now only have 3 of these miniatures looking for homes.  We have one pregnant mama with a foal at her side that is in need of a home and one very pregnant mare who is in need of a very special home or a sponsor to help with her medical needs.  You see Florence has COPD or otherwise known as heaves and is in dire need of medications and special food (non dusty hay) to help her with her breathing.  On really hot days  you can hear Florence breathing from the other end of the barn, also if she gets nervous or upset she has trouble breathing.  We are working with the vet to provide her everything we can give her but need your help with funds to pay for these medications.  Florence is also pregnant and we have to be careful of what we use on her because of her foal inside.  Any help will go directly towards Florence's needs.

On 9/2/16 IHR took in 10 miniatures that were in need of care.  Not only did that consist of 4 mares and foals but those 3 are also pregnant along with another pregnant mare and a yearling.  These horses were about a year behind in hoof care and the foals appeared to have never been touched.  The older mares are all easy to catch and pick up their feet for the farrier - they got their hooves trimmed on 9/6!  They have been dewormed and given an EWT vaccination.

These darling are in need of forever homes to continue working with them and training them to harness?  or just to be your pet.  The weanlings will need lots of continued handling but have already come so far - and they had their hooves trimmed too!  Do you have room in your heart and home for a pair of these miniatures knowing that the mare is also pregnant with one on the way?  It takes a special person to open their heart and home to these horses and we are looking for homes for all of them!
Pictures of some of them are below:
