January 2008 This year has started out as a
busy one! Indiana Horse Rescue continues to take in horses from all walks of
life. Calls continue to poor in from concerned individuals regarding
neglected horses. This month the Stallings hearing took place for the Gibson
County Horses. Please click here
for more information on this case. Mr. Stallings pled guilty to 50
charges or torture and neglect. This was the largest horse impound in the
state of Indiana and we could not have done it without the support of
so many volunteers, supporters, and donors. Thank you all for your
help and your compassion for the horses! We will be working on getting the
laws changed so that in the future Indiana will have better laws regarding
animal welfare. Club H.O.P.E (Horses Of Poor Environments) had their
first fundraiser for the year, a scrap booking event 01/26/08! The event was
a huge success and brought in $714.50 in donations for the Horses!

December 2007 Indiana Horse Rescue kicked off
their first Secret Santa Program for
the rescue horses! With the help of Nancy Hobbs, a wonderful donor and
supporter we were able to organize and receive much needed donations for our
horses in need! Thank you so much Nancy for all your help and your support!
We have also been working on new brochures to help spread the word about
Indiana Horse Rescue and the word that we do! Please check out the

November 2007 Indiana Horse Rescue added a
new feature to their website. You can now join us on Yahoo! as we now have a

October 2007 Everyone at IHR has been super
busy working on projects and taking care of horses in need! The Ride to the
Rescue Benefit Trail Ride was a huge success thanks to all the dedicated
volunteers, members, and donors that pitched in to help our horses! This
event cycled through just at 100 riders and raised over $2,100.00 and
various horse related items!

September 2007 Ken and Cynthia Dierdorf
agreed to open the Therapeutic Riding Program at the Frankfort facility.
Plans and projects are in the making for a wonderful program that will allow
the horses to help people! Check the IHR Central frequently for more
information on our new programs!

August 2007 Animal Protection Coalition, Inc.
and Indiana Horse Rescue Corporate office moved to Owensville, Indiana. APC
purchased the land previously used by Stallings, in an effort to turn the
farm from a place of torture to a haven for horses. Changes are being made
daily to improve the facility and improve the quality of life for the rescue
horses!

June 2007 Indiana Horse Rescue returned to Stalling's Farm along with Law Enforcement Officers to help serve a search
warrant. All horses on property were signed over to Indiana Horse Rescue!
IHR announced the purchase and opening of
Indiana Horse Rescue Southwest,
turning a place of neglect and torture into a haven for horses!

May 2007 Indiana Horse Rescue returned to
Richard Stalling's Farm after 35 horses were impounded in August 2006, to
assist Law Enforcement Officers with further investigation. Law enforcement
officers impounded 16 horses - 1 injured horse, 1 dead foal, and 14 horses
severely emaciated and neglected.
