Sponsor A Horse
Don't have room to adopt or foster a horse in need?
How about Sponsoring?
The IHR Sponsorship Program is for
those that would like to become more involved in the rescue efforts of
horses and those that really want a horse but just can't manage it for one
reason or another but still want to be involved in a horses life and their
care. Many of the rescued horses that come to us are in need of additional
feed, supplements, vitamins, or farrier care. Caring for these special
needs horses is both time consuming and expensive. Some of them must stay
at the rescue for many months to ensure they are healthy enough to leave and
have adjusted to new loving environment - some take more training than
others due to abuse they experienced. Sponsoring is the support which
allows us to keep the horses who are here until the right home is found.
Once adopted, your sponsorship can then be used to help another horse in
need. Some horses may never enjoy a home of their own. We understand that
there are many people that would like to adopt a horse but have busy
schedules, obligations or the lack of horse knowledge that would prevent
them from adopting a horse. YOU CAN be a part of
the Animal Protection Coalition - Equine Division!
YOU CAN make a difference! Can you help the horses? Anything will
help! A bag a feed, a bale of hay, a tube of de-wormer? When you sponsor a
horse, you will receive many things besides knowing that you are helping a
horse in need. As a rescue facility, we get a lot of older horses and
special needs horses that people just can't care for anymore. Older and
special needs horses usually require special medical attention.
As a rescue facility we often take in horses that are old, have special needs, require unique feed or supplements. By sponsoring a horse you will be making a difference in the lives of our horses!

Mission Statement
To provide a caring, positive environment for those horses that have either been neglected, abused, abandoned, and/or are at
risk of going to slaughter. We will place these horses in an environment that benefits both the horse and the adoptive family.
You CAN make a difference!
Think Globally, Act Locally!
