Volunteer
Work out in the fresh air and do some heavy lifting.
Do something good for your health and for the horses!
Indiana Horse Rescue enlists the skills, diligence and expertise of a large team of volunteers that devote their time to feeding and grooming the horses, and cleaning stalls. As well as being responsible for the daily tasks of caring for the horses, volunteers work together in all areas of the organization – including fundraising, special events, education services, adoption placement and facility maintenance.
We currently need experienced individuals who can help with fundraising, grant writing, or who have mechanical skills. As always, we need help with barn chores and farm work seven days a week, year round. Volunteers generally help with barn chores and feeding each day, so there are plenty of opportunities to lend a hand!
Horse experience is not necessary to become a volunteer at Indiana Horse Rescue.
IHR welcomes volunteers with varying degrees of horse experience.

Mission Statement
To provide a caring, positive environment for those horses that have either been neglected, abused, abandoned, and/or are at
risk of going to slaughter. We will place these horses in an environment that benefits both the horse and the adoptive family.
You CAN make a difference!
Think Globally, Act Locally!
